The policy sets out the different areas where user privacy is concerned and outlines the obligations and requirements of the users, the website and website owners.

We process your personal information in order to:

  • Enhance the user experience whilst visiting the website. Cookies are used in order to provide a seamless browsing experience.
  • Monitor users’ usage of the website to better understand how they use it. For this we use Google Analytics which uses cookies. Personal data are not collected.
  • Answer queries that users may make through our contact form or by email. We collect the following data:
    • Your name
    • Your email address
    • Your area of business
    • Enquiry details
  • Enable transactions through our online shop.  If you visit the shop, we will track:
    • Products viewed: this will be used for example to show you products you have recently viewed
    • Location, IP address and browser type: this will be used for purposes like estimating taxes and shipping
    • Shipping address: you will be asked to enter this so we can, for instance, estimate shipping before you place an order, and send you the order
    • We will also use cookies to keep track of cart contents while you are browsing our site.
    • If you opt to create an account we will collect your name, address etc.

With regards to cookies, you don’t have to provide your personal information to us and there are no consequences to you for not doing so.

With regards to making a query through our contact form, you must provide the personal information requested by us i.e. name and email address. If you do not, we are unable to answer your query.

Personal information is required in order to complete a transaction through our online shop.   When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, credit card/payment details and optional account information like username and password. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:

  • Send you information about your account and order
  • Respond to your requests, including refunds and complaints
  • Process payments and prevent fraud
  • Set up your account for our store
  • Comply with any legal obligations we have, such as calculating taxes
  • Improve our store offerings
  • Send you marketing messages, if you choose to receive them
  • If you create an account, we will store your name, address, email and phone number, which will be used to populate the checkout for future orders.

If you submit an enquiry form, the information will be retained for one year in case any follow up is required.

Analytics records are retained for one year.

Customer purchase records will be retained for ten years.  This includes your name, email address and billing and shipping addresses.  We will also store comments or reviews, if you choose to leave them, for up to five years.

Backups are retained for six months.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Google Fonts

For uniform representation of fonts, this page uses web fonts provided by Google. When you open a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache to display texts and fonts correctly.  For this purpose your browser has to establish a direct connection to Google servers. Google thus becomes aware that our web page was accessed via your IP address. The use of Google Web fonts is done in the interest of a uniform and attractive presentation of our plugin. OpenStreetMap

Our site includes maps provided by OpenStreetMap.  The index map includes the option to display your location on the map which involves the sending of location data to OpenStreetMap. When the map first loads you have the option not to show your location if desired.

Paypal

In our online store, we accept payments through PayPal. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to PayPal, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information.   Please see the PayPal Privacy Policy for more detail.

MailChimp for WooCommerce

When shopping, we keep a record of your email and the cart contents for up to 30 days on our server. This record is kept to repopulate the contents of your cart if you switch devices or needed to come back another day. Please see the MailChimp Privacy Policy for more detail.
